WHAT IS MSM?
MSM is an abbreviation of Methylsulfonylmethane, an organic form of SULFUR. The chemical formula of MSM is CH3SO2CH3 : a form in which Sulfur appears in nature
in all living organisms, and in which it is biologically active.
MSM is an odorless, white, crystalline powder that is
highly soluble in hot water and in a wide range of organic solvents.
Biologically active Sulfur has incredible preventive and Therapeutic properties.
The medicinal properties of biological Sulfur are profound, and they are also
based on obvious principles. Because of these characteristics, the discovery of
biological Sulfur’s role in health, and the process that enables its
successful delivery in supplemental form, are generally considered among the
biggest advances in Orthomolecular Medicine
in the second half of this century.
USES AND HEALTH BENEFITS OF MSM:
MSM or ORGANIC SULFUR is becoming more widely
appreciated as a really critical nutrient, without which many other things
don’t work properly, and most people aren’t getting enough Sulfur from their
diet anymore.
So what are the uses and health benefits of MSM?
-Sulfur
plays a critical role in detoxification, and also in inflammatory conditions.
- Sulfur
helps produce GLUTATHIONE-one of the most important antioxidants that our
bodies produce. GLUTATHIONE also serves important functions for detoxification.
Without Sulfur, GLUTATHIONE can’t work.
So, while not an antioxidant by itself, part of MSM’s action is to improve your body’s ability to make its own antioxidants.
-Sulfur
is a great nutrient for your bone health, helping conditions like arthritis,
rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
· -
Sulfur
helps in breaking up the unhealthy Calcium deposits in the body that are the
root cause of degenerative diseases.
-Helps
in improving joint flexibility and improving circulation.
-
Reduces
pain, swelling and stiffness.
-Improves
cell vitality.
- Helps
you detoxify better by increasing the permeability of your cells which means
that it helps increasing the cells capability of flushing out excess fluids and
toxins.
-Sulfur
helps produce generous quantities of COLLAGEN and KERATIN, both of which are
vital for healthy hair, skin and nails.
-Helps
in the treatment of skin conditions such as: Psoriasis, Eczema, Rosacea, Acne,
Dermatitis and Dandruff.
-
Natural
energy booster: Due to its detoxifying benefits, it becomes easier for the body
to absorb nutrients, which in return reduces the amount of energy spent on
digestion of the food.
- Helps
conditions like cramps, headaches and muscular pain caused by hormonal
imbalance.
- Helps
balance your blood Sugar level.
-
Helps
cure gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhea, nausea, constipation and
hyperacidity.
-Helps
with allergies and Asthma.
-
Helps
maintaining a proper PH balance.
-
Reduces
snoring.
-
Heals
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and reduces stress.
HOW MUCH MSM SHOULD YOU TAKE DAILY?
Because of its non toxic nature, MSM is non allergenic
and doesn’t interfere with any other types of pharmaceutical medicines or
supplements. Daily doses are normally ½ teaspoon, to 1 ½ teaspoons twice per
day, up to 6 teaspoons daily.
(1 teaspoon= about 4 grams= 4000 mg)
You can take MSM in forms of capsules, crystals,
flakes, powder, tablets, lotion and gel.
NOTE: It’s thought that people with allergies and
Sinus problems need consistently higher doses, around the level of more than 5
grams per day.
MSM YOUR BEST NATURAL ANTI-PARASITE FRIEND:
When parasites attach to someone’s intestinal lining,
they can live, reproduce and leach nutrients from the body indefinitely. MSM
blocks parasites by competing for receptor sites on the mucous membrane. When
parasites can’t attach themselves, they are simply flushed out of the system
with the excess MSM.
MSM AND VITAMIN C:
Our bodies use MSM along with Vitamin C to create new,
healthy cells and connective tissue. MSM helps determine how flexible the bond
is between the cells. 2 grams to 3 grams of MSM mixed with 2 to 3 grams of
Vitamin C, three times a day; supports healthy cell regeneration. As our new
cells are created, MSM is incorporated into the bonds that make up cells walls.
The result is the creation of new cell walls that are better at absorbing
nutrients.
